Database URL problem - J. Bardzell’s Dreamweaver 8

Dear whoever might be of assistance,

I’m currently working my way through J. Bardzell’s Dreamweaver 8 dynamic applications text book and have stumbled upon a database related problem. Specifically, whenever a form is constructed (to either feed data to, or extract data from a remote Access database) that features the ‘Action’, <%=MM_editAction%>, the browser does not go to the desired page; rather, for reasons not know, the browser displays the URL location of the database (1 directory down from the desired page, and 1 up from htdocs).

I’m hosting with Network Solutions and am not too sure whether this is a common problem. When a database is configured with them, they state that .mdb files must be placed in a pre-constructed /db file. I’ve tried moving said file to see of it stops the browser from jumping down a directory but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Can you give me a specific reference to an exercise in the book and I'll see if I can reproduce it. It may have to do with your hosting setup, but let me test it first.
