Define a site - Display file struture in the display area

How did you get the strucure to display in display area. Display area totaly BLACk

I'm not sure I understand the question. 

To define a site, simply go to Site > New Site and enter a name and location for your site's project files.  Example, C:\myTestSite\

Open the Files Panel.  Go to Window > Files (F8).

It seems I'm missing a BAR above the blank display. The bar says, on far left, Source Code. On the far right, it shows a Filter icon, so it seems.

Think I might have it. I redid my Site, top toolbar.
