ADDT was removed from sale in April 2009. It is no longer available.

Greetings,

I need a very well designed server side upload and resize that could work with Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. If you have idea where I could find or purchase such software please let me know. I really need this software so I could finish my Social Blog Network. I do not think I should buy the next software in line, which is UltraDev 4. But I may have to because I think they better opportunities.

Thanks.

I do not think I should buy the next software in line, which is UltraDev 4.

UltraDev 4, was replaced by dreamweaver mx back in 2002.

As for the extension you require try one of the extensions from webassist - http://www.webassist.com/dreamweaver-extensions/, or the php file upload extension from DMX zone - http://www.dmxzone.com/go?4509.

Hello,

Thanks for your info help, but I regret buying the "Pure ASP Upload 3," which I have tried time and time again to contact the company to inform them that it does not work at all, unfortunately I have been unable to get in touch with any body I have even written them to make refund to me but they not responded either as far as I am concern, I am going to get my money one way or the other, meaning I am going to sell the software with the same key to get my money back. I have already purchased UltraDev 4 today!

Thanks.

As Paula told you, UltraDev 4 was replaced by Dreamweaver MX in 2002. You have bought a piece of software that was released in December 2000, and which is no longer maintained.

If you have Dreamweaver CS4, you have all the server-side functionality provided by UltraDev 4. The difference is that the server-side code generated by UltraDev 4 is insecure. Important changes were made to the server behaviors in Dreamweaver 8.0.2 to eliminate problems with SQL injection.

Greetings,

May be I have bought some piece of software that has been discontinued; the fact is that Dreamweaver CS4 doesn’t have the server side I wanted or needed. For this reason, I have searched in vain to find and purchase the ASP VBScript server side upload I could use to design image or classified web site.

UltraDev 4 I bought, has this very type of server side or, the server side I am seeking for, if it doesn’t, I could find most of them from the Dreamweaver extension for UltraDev 4 and download them including CDONT MAIL.  Unlike Dreamweaver CS4, it is highly impossible to find any. I have also bought “ASP upload and resize” server side software from DWZone.com but it doesn’t work at all and their support is poor. However, if youhave other idea why I shouldn’t use the UltraDev 4 you let me know but they still have supports and I have used most of them to learn how to use Dreamweaver CS4. .

THanks,

Joplateau.

You're free to use whatever you like. The problem with both UltraDev 4 and ASP VBScript is that they use outdated technology that is no longer being actively developed. Microsoft abandoned ASP VBScript more than a decade ago. Using it to maintain an existing site is understandable. Using it to create new sites means you're living on borrowed time. ASP VBScript is not enabled by default in the latest version of IIS. As time goes by, you are likely to find it increasingly difficult to get support. Most extension developers have dropped ASP in favour of PHP.
