dreamweaver 2017 code issue

hi, today the update rolled in here and now i am having a problem with how the completition is working. yesterday, when i typed " or ! or ( or { they remained unclosed and i had to close them by myself, which is what i prever.

when typing jquery code, i had that nice autocompletition of the code elements. which is now gone. for example when i typed ready and pressed enter for the autocompletition, i got ready(function(e) {...

that was very nice and fast way to do things . all this is not working anymore and i cannot find a way to get it to work that way. only thing is i can totally disable it all, to get rid of the closing brakets etc, mentioned above.

please, i hope there is a way to get the way  it was before...

cheers,

christian

no, sorry, that is exactly not what i want. tag completition is working like before and how i like it. the problem are the quotes and brakets.

and of course the jquery completition. is there any way to get back the previous version of dreamweaver? i was so used to it, and now it is a real show stopper on my side

Turn off Code Linting in your Preferences.  It has some wacky notions about which type of quotes you should /shouldn't use.

I didn't remove my older version as I knew this upgrade would be a radical one.  But yes,  you can drop back to an earlier release from your Creative Cloud Desktop App.  Click on Apps >  All Apps > Previous Versions.
