Dreamweaver 2017 Running Slow / Red X Code Error

I reluctantly upgraded to DW 2017 via my CC subscription a few weeks back.  Since upgrading, the application is running incredibly slow with the playful beach ball constantly spinning after every edit - why?

The most frustrating issue is the little red circle with an "x" at the bottom to the app that always tells me when I have a code error.  Normally, when I see that red x, I simply scroll through the code and the error is easy to find since the line code number will be highlighted in red as well.  The issue is that DW is telling me there's an error, but no longer will highlight the line number showing me where it occurring.

Any ideas?

Try disabling Linting as in

Wappler, the only real Dreamweaver alternative.

Wouldn't disabling Linting defeat the purpose? I want to be notified of code errors.

Open your Output panel.  Window > Results > Output (Shift + F6).

In that panel, you will see the line number and brief description of code error.

If your code has no errors, you won't see anything.

When I open that panel nothing is showing ...that's what's odd.  I also found that you need to save the file each time, after editing an error, before the code error symbol goes green.  In previous DW versions, the code error went green immediately upon correction.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the program so let's see if that corrects the issue.

Thanks Nancy.

Same here... reverting back to 2015.  It's a shame because 2017 is awesome.  Adobe please let us know when you have a fix for this.  Turning off settings doesn't work and defeats the purpose to the new app.  We' actually have to turn off enough settings so it runs exactly like 2015 so it doesn't matter.

Very frustrating.. unable to work.  I know you guys are trying to replicate the issue but you won't be able to... we're dealing with sometimes MASSIVE lines of code, sometimes not, some on remote servers, some on local.  Sometimes we make big changes, and sometimes we make little changes.. beach ball all the time.
