Dreamweaver 2017 will not open

So I've had CC on my computer for months, but I haven't used Dreamweaver. Today I need to use Dreamweaver however when I select "open" from the Creative Cloud list of Apps, it starts to open goes for about a minute and then just gives me an "quit unexpectedly" error. I've tried trying to re-open the application from the Problem Report screen, I've uninstalled Dreamweaver and re-installed it (with and without removing the Preferences) and I get the same result.

I have not been able to copy the Problem Details and System Configuration information so as to post it here.

I've read some of the suggestions, but honestly, I'm not going to go in and change code on my computer, I just need to be able to fix this. I can open other programs just not Dreamweaver. So should I uninstall the whole of Creative Cloud and then reinstall it? What a pain this is. Never had such problems when you could just buy the programs.

I'll say thanks in advance and hopefully somebody can tell me how to fix this.

Before wiping all CC programs (I don't think I would ever actually try that to be honest) I would try using the Adobe Cleaner Tool, then reinstalling. Sometimes on a normal uninstall/reinstall files will get left behind that affect the new installation...

OK, I went to the link you sent me and for Mac OS it shows selecting the entire Creative Cloud App and uninstalling it as the first step, so I am clearly confused with what my first step is for using the "Cleaner"??

They're just using the CC app as an example in the screenshot, not actually telling you to uninstall the CC App as the first step. The Cleaner Tool page isn't program specific to DW.

You would choose Uninstall Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2017 (or the equivalent) from the list of available uninstallers.

I hate to be a pain, but I really do not want to screw up other versions of the Creative Suite that I use on a regular basis and I have no issues with... so Clean All isn't something i'm comfortable with.

So if i pick Clean All Creative Cloud 2017, etc., the list does not show Dreamweaver because I uninstalled it, so how am I supposed to clean that App. Or am I supposed to pick the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop??

So I picked Creative Cloud 2017, 2015 versions only and selected Cleanup. It did that and then came back with The following installations were found on your system and it lists Adobe Application Manager for MacOSX 10.6. It wants to clean that. Why ?

If I do this I'm not sure what that is going to do. I need this to say it's done, but I do not know what to do next. My choices are Quit or Cleanup Selection, which is the Application Manager. I just do not know what to do.

And before I do this it says to uninstall it rather than "Clean it". So I went up to see if it was listed in the Creative Cloud App list and now the Creative Cloud is gone from the Menu Bar!!!!

I hate this, it should not be so hard to fix this stuff.

Hi,

You can use Adobe Cleaner Tool, it won't wipe up any of your apps. Also, before that you can just sign out from Creative Cloud and Sign in again with your Adobe ID and see if it solves the problem.

If anyhow, these two don't help please send over your installation logs by running Log Collector Tool and we would investigate into the problem.

Honestly I am not a computer geek, I do not know how to program, so when this stuff does not work the way it is described to me, it is extremely frustrating. I downloaded and attempted to run the Log Collector. I got a Terminal window where it asked for a password and also warned that necessary files might be deleted if allowed to run, so I did not proceed. i shut the window because using Control-C did not get rid of it.

To say that I am angry would be an understatement. I have had nothing but problems using this software. I have tried to follow instructions on how to fix this damn program and nothing works as it should. To me this is a waste of time and money, because this is costing me production time which is costing me money which may end up loosing me a client.

I want to uninstall this garbage and start over fresh, but it won't let me do that because I can't remove Adobe Acrobat because there isn't an uninstaller for that program. So now I'm freaking stuck and I need a solution to this NOW!
