I updated my Dreamweaver CC last week and I know have the 2017 version. The previous version worked fine for my web editing with no issues. The new version is frequently causing me problems and headaches, and for the money that it costs to have this, I am upset.
Quite often when I load a new html page and select an area of text to copy, as soon as I hit the copy symbol, I get some sort of error box pops up, then I close the box and try it again, then it will copy and paste.
Next when I edit in split code view, it is often very slow to show my changes to the coding, and then when I hit the refresh symbol, the program freezes up.
also after a few code changes it will no longer allow me to place my cursor at the desired code in the live view area and make it place the cursor where I need it to be in the source code. Instead, it forces me to just scroll through all the source code until I reach the desired location.
is anyone else aware of these issues and are there plans to correct these problems in CC 2017 Dreamweaver

From the description of your problems, I can only assume that you are on an Apple machine reason that I cannot replicate the problem on my machine.

As Ben said in Reply #3, did you delete your Cache yet? That usually fixes corruptions.
Or, try Restore Preferences.

No. Not the same thing.
Follow the instructions in link below.
Close DW. Open your File Manager and make sure display hidden files & folders are turned on or you won't be able to see the file.

I seemed to have figured out how to delete that cache file. Time will tell if my bugs are corrected. Thank you for your help, and I will let you know on here if the problems continue.

ok, it did not fix the issues with what I did. Is there a way I can completely remove all Dreamweaver files and start over. Before I signed up for Creative Cloud I tried to install an older version of Dreamweaver that I purchased from a guy on ebay which was guaranteed to be authentic. It turned out not to be, so I requested a refund from him, and uninstalled everything from settings/apps and features/remove programs.
Once I got my money back I purchased Creative Cloud subscription and installed the CC version of Dreamweaver and everything worked fine with no problems until last week when it began to bug me about updating my Dreamweaver. So I did just that, and then all these weird problems began to happen. (this is exactly why I do not like to update software).
I do not have computer skills at the level of most of you, so that is why I would like to just remove all of the current and older Dreamweaver stuff, and just start over if that is possible. Currently if I go to my settings/apps and features section, the only version shown is the current CC 2017 Dreamweaver.

Pirated software often contains malware that can put your computer at risk. Scan your system with the latest anti-virus & anti-spyware software. It might not be a bad idea to run some diagnostics from your system apps, too.
In the future, don't buy anything from un-trusted re-sellers. It's not worth the risks.

If the previous suggestions don't work, can you try the solutions in JavaScript errors in Dreamweaver and let me know?
Thanks,
