I'm using DW since first Macromedia version; Today, new version Dreamweaver CC 2017, on my iMac 27 Retina i5 3,3 Ghz with AMD Radeon R9 2Gb and 24Gb Ram, don't open any files in live view (previous Dreamweaver CC 2015 it is slow, but allows you to work): now, only code view.
We are only beta tester: it is not fair to pay for this "old-coded" and never really upgraded software.

It is not immediately clear from your post whether you are using a Beta version of the software, or if you are subscribed to CC.
If you are a CC member, send me your Adobe ID, location, and phone number over a private message. We will get in touch with you for investigation. To send a private message, click my picture and use the Message button.
Thanks,

I asked many times the support (but you have stopped communicating with me, every time the problem became realistic). I am a professional from twenty years, and I do not want a marketing-support. There are problems in the Dreamweaver code (it is old and full of problems), the support is not helpful (I've had many experiences), is a joke.
If you want to fix the problem: rewrite dreamweaver code like photoshop or illustrator.

Preran Thank you, but is not secure give you my account? I have original Cc, cs6, cs5 and other: my account is referred to my email address, than if you want, if you are from Adobe Team, you can view my licenses.
Dreamweaver CC 2017 is unusable on both iMac Retina 27 late 2015 (3,3 Ghz, Amd radeon 2gb, 24 gb ram) and macbookpro mid 2015 (i7 2,5 ghz, amd radeon 2 gb, ssd, 16 gb ram); unusable on any perfect-code site (I'm a teacher senior on Html5 and Css since 20 years).
As a customer from many year, I feel insulted in my person and in my professiona. Excuse me for my terrible english and thank you in any case for support!

Buongiorno Preran,

Grazie.

Hi Preran,
I found out what the problem in Dreamweaver: web pages with complex SVG graphics/images freeze completely Dreamweaver CC 2017 (not the same in CC2015 and 2014). I hope in an upgrade...
Thank you

I also noticed that the freeze problem happens when I edit SVG files — the app just becomes unresponsive, and the work is often lost.

I am a subscriber and I must agree this is the slowest and most prone to freezing edition of Dreamweaver I have ever worked with. I will send you my info.

This is not a real upgrade, this is cosmetic, DW has always been one of these programs that never had a real update. I am sticking with 2015 until they fix this, painful to work with. Adobe must realize that there are some of us who earn a living using thses software. Atrocious!!!! just horrible to use this software

I'm not having a bad experience with it. Apart from a few cosmetic issues, CC 2017 is performing very well on my Win10 with 64 GB Ram and 2 TB hard drive. For me, it's running much the same as Brackets did.
I admit, the new UI takes some adjustment. And sadly, it's not Hi-DPI Aware yet. But they're working on that.
What specific issues are you having with CC 2017?

My issue is that the software freezes and I must wait three or four minutes until the system catches up. All my drivers are upto date. I have 36g memory and plenty of computing power. This did not happen with beta or the older edition. This just started when I upgraded today.... BTW I have rebooted, and plan on installing again.

Hello
I am guessing it is a server issue on Adobe's end. I use software to enter helpdesk tickets and it is on a citrix server based about 3 thousand miles away from me. It is slow compared with any program on my pc.

multiple users at my firm have the same issue, ~1 minute freeze when switching remote site defs. Didn't have this problem before the official upgrade. windows 10 64bit

I'm finding DW 2017 to be very fast and responding to commands without lags. Also on Win10 64-bit. Are you working with files stored on your primary hard drive instead of a networked/shared drive?

I have a very fresh install of Windows 10, DreamWeaver CC 2017 upgrade 9314 Build.
I'm never thrilled to have to re-learn how to do simple tasks in DreamWeaver after an upgrade.
Wasn't thrilled that my Preferences and Workspace Layout settings evaporated either.
But the most serious issue for me is that DreamWeaver appears to Freeze and is very laggy, especially after I click the 'Expand to show Local and Remote Sites' button in the Files Panel and then attempt to click on a column header to sort files Alphabetically, by Date or Type. DreamWeaver appears to be unresponsive for several seconds before sorting the files. Is this a cache issue? Honestly, it's a bit annoying, as this wasn't an issue for me before the upgrade.

I also have this issue. Interface is impossibly slow. Sync (get/put operations) are horrible. Sometimes I wait up to a minute just to select the files I need to sync in the selection window. Going back to 2015 now, because I need to be able to work in a timely fashion. The new formatting may be nice, but the interface lag is just maddening.
