Dreamweaver cc 2017 working with joomla templates

Good day all, i hope all is well.

I want to use a joomla template layout in dreamweaver. Is it possible to make changes to the template in dreamweaver? Is there any other way to make a connection between the two?

Although this article refers to DW CS5, it is still applicable to the latest version Edit Joomla template from Dreamweaver CS5 - Joomla!
