Dreamweaver CC 2021 Crashes

Dreamweaver crashes whenever I try to open the Files F8 window.

Have you tried restoring preferences ( https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver.html ) or re-installing?

I have only ever seen this reported when the local site folder did not reside on the primary computer hard drive. Instead the user had an external network or cloud drive like DropBox.  Their read/write permissions were not sufficient for working with files in Dreamweaver.  Hence the crash.
