Hi

Whenever I use Dreamweaver, it randomly crashed on me, and there are some major glitches in the CSS Designer, sometimes the panel disappears, but if you continue typing, the data remains.

We have seen instances of Dreamweaver crashing on Mac OS where the anti-virus software CrowdStrike was installed. If you have this software running on your computer, update to the latest version of CrowdsStrike where this issue has been fixed and let us know of your observations.

Let us know if this is not the case with you, and if you still need assistance.

Thanks,

Hi Carl,

Unfortunately, we cannot see what you are experiencing. It would help if you came with specifics, starting off with the OS and version of Dreamweaver. If possible, also give us a sequence of events that lead up to the problem.

Also have a look at Dreamweaver system requirements

Wappler, the only real Dreamweaver alternative.

I do not have CrowdStike installed on my work computer. What else could be causing it to not launch or crash? I haven't been able to use Dreamweaver since Monday morning.

I'm on a Mac, but I have gone through all the steps and even worked with customer support. Nothing is working.

Have you created a new user account on the Mac yet (corrupt accounts have been known to kill DW)?

What version of DW and Mac OS are you using?

At this point, I'll have to bow out (I no longer use Macs), but others may have an idea of what's going on based on your answers and have some more ideas to try.

Using the latest version of Dreamweaver, but the problem started Monday morning before I updated. I thought the update would fix it. Mac OS version is 10.13.6, but was told that is not the problem.

You said that you have worked with customer support. I am guessing that you contacted Adobe Support. In that case you must have received a case number for your transaction. Would it be possible to share that info with me over a private message? To send a private message, click my picture and use the Message button. It will help me track the status of your case and do any follow ups that may be required.

Preran-

After working with the IT department here it turns out it is indeed CrowdStrike. There is no way for me to detect or see that CrowdStrike is installed or connected to this computer as it was explained to me it's all over the network.

This means I have no control to turn it on or off or I don't know how.

Tell your IT dept there is a known problem in CrowdStrike and they need to get the latest update installed on the network ASAP.
