Since I've started working in DW CS6 I've noticed that the Find and Replace feature isn't working completely.
E.g. If I select a block of code, then open Find and Replace, tell it to find "<br />" and replace it with "</li>" it only replaces the first instance. The rest of the <br />'s are still <br />'s.
Is this happening to anyone else? I may have to switch back to CS5.

At the moment I'm copying and pasting things in and out of Notepad++ to combat this issue - hope Adobe sort it out soon!

Chiming in to say I'm experiencing this replace all error too - to an infuriating level.
It seems to work once in a document - then it doesn't work any subsequent times.
Also - the tab order of input boxes in the "find/replace" box has been screwed up. When my cursor is in the "find" box and I press tab (used to jump to the Replace box), now jumps to "Find in", and then through the checkbox options, and then down the buttons on the right side, and finally to the replace text input box.
(Running Mac 10.7.4, Dreamweaver CS6)

I have reproduced this bug on 2 seperate Windows 7 SP1 (x64) machines. I downloaded the trial of CS6 because I'm interested in upgrading from my copy of CS4, or maybe even trying out the Creative Cloud. I love PHP code hinting (not available in CS4) but I can't see myself shelling out money for products that destroy productivity because basic functionality does not work.
Can I use CS5 or CS5.5 if I purchase a Creative Cloud membership or am I restricted to CS6? Also, is it possible this bug is just a bad build of Dreamweaver or something and maybe, maybe Adobe has available older CS6 builds than what is available as the trial download now? Better yet, if someone has a fix for this bug I would love that lol. I don't want to use a second editor like Notepad++ so that I can use Dreamweaver, if I'm doing that I may as well purchase a different product.
I included this is the bug report I filed, but I'll include this here for reference to other users like me who found this thread via a search engine:
Dreamweaver CS6 Trial (All available updates applied)
Windows 7 SP1 (x64) (Both Home Premium and Professional Editions, all available updates applied)
1. Create new document (I've tested PHP and CSS, I don't see why the problem wouldn't exist elsewhere.)
2. Switch to Code view
3. Delete everything already there
4. Type asdf on serveral lines
5. Select 2 (or more) of those lines
6. Go to Edit -> Find and Replace
7. Set the "Find in:" option to "Selected Text"
8. Set the "Search:" option to "Source Code" (if applicable)
9. Type "asdf" in the "Find:" box
10. Type "jkl;" in the "Replace:" box
11. Click "Replace All"
The expected result is that all instances of asdf you have highlighted are changed to your desired replace text. However, only the first time "asdf" appears will it be changed.

I'm having to exit CS6 and work in CS5.5 because of this. The bug is acknowledged by Adobe, but they haven't fixed it yet. Agree that it is an absolute productivity killer, because I use find/replace to make groups of almost identical code, and I do that a lot.
Come on Adobe, you can do the tough stuff - do the easy stuff too. We need this.

If you want this to get attention, file an official bug report.

Just posting to update... this happens on CC2017 as well. Seems like it kicks in after using it for an hour or so, suddenly find and replace doesn't find anything at all.
Closing and reopening dreamweaver fixes it, In fact, when i reopen the document, my previous entries of the find and replace field (that minutes ago showed 0 matches) are still there, but now are fuctioning correctly to show what it is supposed to, in this case "1 of 2".

I just had my work machine replaced from an iMac with i5 processor to an iMac with i7 processor, same OSX Sierra, same CS6, now I have the problem. My and others' work totally depends on using the search and replace on inlined code, several times a day, otherwise I'm going to have to bring my home laptop to work, or find another software to do this -- then it can be bye, bye to the Adobe suite for our whole department, if this doesn't get fixed soon. I can just hope Adobe fixes this, quickly.

DW CS6 hasn't been sold, supported or updated by Adobe for several years.
They are not working on a fix for your version beyond what was already released (the last update was in December 2012). Have you run all of the updates available from the updaters link posted above?

That won't happen. CS6 is legacy software. Only current Creative Cloud products get updates & fixes.
If this just started happening , try restore preferences. That takes care of most irregularities.
Unusual behavior in Dreamweaver? Try restoring preferences.

Yes, I forgot about that. Unfortunately, changes in corporations don’t always follow the rhythm of software developers, even being a top 100. I don’t think anyone in the creative department there has CC, and I wonder if it also has the bug. If not, it might be a solution to get it to replace CS on machines that need the Find and Replace. I have both on my home computer, none has the problem.

What makes you think that it is a problem with CS6?

Well, it’s happening in CS6’s Dreamweaver’s Find and Replace. The only other possibility would be the OS, but it’s not limited to Macs, I’ve seen Windows users complain as well. I have CS6 and CC on my home computer, it has been through all OSX versions since 2011, never had the issue since I started using the find and replace this way.

There is nothing that will be fixed for CS6, but if you are having a problem with the current version of Dreamweaver, please start a new discussion stating O/S. DW version and actions leading to the problem.

Just update Dreamweaver CS6 10.x to DW CS6 12.x and the funcationality works again.
Just a warning, on a side related issue.
DO NOT INSTALL ADOBE CC, IF YOU HAVE ADOBE CS6 INSTALLED.
THE CS6 SUITE WILL STOP WORKING BECAUSE OF LICENSE ISSUES

You're not doing your site visitors any favors using obsolete web software from 12+ years ago. The web has changed too much as have browsers, web devices & programming languages.
Creative Suite should be replaced with a modern code editor. Below are free & premium options to consider.
CODE EDITORS:
-- Adobe Dreamweaver CC - https://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver.html
-- Codespaces (free, browser-based) - https://github.com/features/codespaces
-- Nova (Mac only, formerly called Coda) - https://nova.app/
-- Pinegrow - https://pinegrow.com/
-- Sublime Text - http://www.sublimetext.com/
-- Visual Studio Code (free) - https://code.visualstudio.com/
-- Wappler ~ Visual Web App Builder - https://wappler.io/
Hope that helps.
