I have just had my Mac returned under warenty from a Adobe Mac Store I bought it from. I have had issues since day 1. They found after 25 days on the test bed as it was all intermittant faults, a very hard issue to fix.
They found a heat sink commponent failing and the Drive was changed from a HD and SSD to a SSD only drive.
I have now found that when I manage my local documents folder where I store my web sites i wotrk on it cannot not see the files.
On inspection i have found a string issue that I cannot resolve !!
Original path on my dreamweave back ups is:-
MAC HD: users/les keen/ documents/ web site name.
The new path on my dreamweave back ups is:-
MAC SSD: MAC HD/users/les keen/ documents/ web name.
For obvious reasons the file structure is failing.
Dreamweaver will not let me edit the string.
How do you change a MANAGE SITE file structure when you go to reload a back up folder from before the drive was replaced.
Thank you
Les

It's unclear what is going on. Do you have permission to access other files on your hard drive from Mac Finder?
You could try creating a new Mac computer user profile that has full administrative permission.
Failing that, create a new site definition in DW from Site > New Site...

Thank you Nancy, What I did was renamed my existing web pages. I the using th e site manager tool I created an empty file with the new string i.e the HD drive missing, When it loaded ok but empty ,I then went to the file manage and copied the files over. Re loaded the Mac with a complete power down cleared the cahies and reloaded Dreamweaver, it all worked ok.
Thank you so much for your time on this. My new mac I bought in April 2020, it packed up April 2021 , 2 weeks before the warenty ran out. It should have been a 10 day turn around. Nearly 5 weeks later it came back all good
They changed the two drives SSD and HD for a single but bigger SSD drive. This cause all existing files to be mis mapped, Making a new site with the single drive in the string created my web sites , then I just cheated and copied the files into them. A bit srung out, but it worked. Plus they changed a heat sink component on or near the cpu which was causing the pixelation of my screen at various imes. A happy bunny now, THANKS AGAIN for being ther for us daft members. Luv Ya. Les
