Hello,
I have a Yahoo Store and I have Dreamweaver CS3 on a Mac. I would like to use DW to develop my store-front - the standard Yahoo templates are rather bland, and I do not relish the idea of learning their proprietary RTML. I also do not wish to waste a lot of time trying to figure out if this is possible only to discover that I'm trying to do something that is very difficult or impossible.
So....
Has anyone here successfully developed a Yahoo store-front using DW (Mac)? If so, any pointers and advice would be welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
P.S. My experience level on DW can probably be described as "adequite". I've done tons of software development over the years, I know HTML fairly well, but I am weak with regard to CSS. I have produced a web-site with a couple hundred pages, but I keep things simple.

A hosted solution, such as Yahoo Stores has some real advantages to those with no or limited HTML/CSS experience, the downside is by nature these sort of servers have to be very structured. The reason for this is you have so many users and so many levels of expertise so to protect their system they have to really nail down the structure and security.
All that being said, Yahoo and other realize some customers want a more uniquely branded presentation, but You'll need to do it their way. And this requires the dreaded learning curve. Including learning any proprietary protocols required.
The upside for those that have the time or desire to dive in and learn this, you end up with a marketable skill set.
If you absolutely do-not want to learn this, you may be ready to look at moving to one of the many stand alone cart apps out there, which offer a more traditional web developer approach and much more freedom to design and brand your store.
