QUESTION:  What could impede a Firefox browser from serving as one's test browser?

BACKGROUND:  In my Preview in Browser setting I have three browsers listed -- none of which is selected as primary or secondary, all of which are checked to open a temporary file.  Only my Firefox browser fails to open a temporary file when I click on the Preview / Debug in Browser icon.

There are some other strange things happening in my computer as well, but they do not appear to be related.  My security software detects no sign of a virus or other malicious, alien element.  I have tried deleting the current Firefox setting and replacing it with another, but to no avail.

SPECIFICATIONS:

CS3 - Dreamweaver

MacOS 10.5.8

Firefox 3.6.3

Roddy
