dreamweaver: preview problem

New Here ,
Jun 29, 2007 Jun 29, 2007
I am using dreamweaver mx4 on windows xp professional. The website is well established. I want to make changes on a page. When i press f12 to preview in IE there is a move to connect to the remote server, which I don't want to do. Only want to look at the changes in browser locally. I have a highspeed connection. This is a new problem. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like you have inadvertantly defined your remote server as a testing
server - is that the case? Do you NEED a testing server (you only would if
you were developing dynamic pages)?

Murray: Many thanks. I had, in fact, inadvertently defined the remote server as testing server. Corrected it, things work fine.
