Hey there! This is just a message for the Dreamweaver team. CSSLint has been deprecated for awhile now, which means I have to basically disable CSS linting altogether since it incorrectly marks code as an error when I use newer CSS features (CSS variables is a big example). Thanks so much!

That won't happen, Dreamweaver, according to published data on DWs future is it won't be getting any new features. Anyone serious about web development is advised to consider alternative solutions that are still being developed if you require workflows which DW doesn't currently support.

Do you have a source for this? They seem to still be pushing out updates regularly (new features too)

Think about it. Where is Bootstrap 5? Where is PHP 8? Why did Adobe create an XD extension for Visual Studio and not for Dreamweaver?

Where do you get taken to when you choose Help > Submit Bug/Feature Request?

I actually get directed to this community, but I see what you're saying. That being said, I don't think it's necessarily deprecated--it does what it needs to do 🙂

==========
DW's Team announced it at the October 2021 Max Conference -- Live Roundtable Discussion. No new features are planned. DW is only minimally maintained now for benefit of older DW users.
That said, I still use DW alongside other web tools like FileZilla S/FTP client and Visual Studio Code, etc... I've never put all my eggs in one basket as no single tool can do everything.
CSS, HTML & JavaScript are ever-evolving code bases now. It's up to us as developers to stay informed about changes and how many browsers are supporting them.

According to Adobe, Dreamweaver will only receive essential updates in the future, which usually means updates for security vulnerabilities and OS compatibility....
