Dreamweaver stopped working when i am going to edit downloaded index file?

Hi,

I have downloaded index file from this website, after downloading has started editing a file with Dreamweaver software. As soon as I open index file with Dreamweaver for editing it stopped working. Have tried this many times, but I am not Able to open index file in Dreamweaver.

Can anyone suggest me why I am getting this kind of error.

What OS are you using?
What version of DW?

That page has quite a few structural errors in the html that could be causing DW to choke.
Is that the only page that crashes DW consistently?

Are you receiving any specific error when the program crashes?
What do your crash logs say?

Are you trying to edit the file directly on the remote server?

If you are, then Dw does have a problem if a site is not defined, AND/OR the files are not on the users computers drive Often causing Dw to crash or freeze.

The file contains quite a few code errors.   Namely duplicate IDs.
