I don't have a clue whether my question is a bug or a how to. I am getteing close to finishing my current version of my website.( I have learned a lot but as several note, have not advanced into best current code. I hope to try my hand at that but that comes after I finish this process).
My question now is about the assets menu in Dreamweaver. I have been using it quite a bit to place images. But today it stopped showing images from the site folder when I open it. The images are still there and I have tried to open the assets on other pages from the one I am working on but same deal, no images listed. The little images icon on the top left of the asset menu screen seems to be greyed and does not respond to a click. Any Ideas where to go from here to get that working properly?

So it was something to do with moving my site into a new computer. I had bought a refurbished Mac that had problems and had to return it and buy another one, move the site and apps etc. into the new mac and had a bit of problem with the location of the sitefolder that I thought I fixed but I realized today I had not and now assets are working again. To be honest I couldn't explain it coherently. I still have at least 1 issue on my website that I would like to get a better solution for.

Did you define your local site folder and does it reside on your primary hard drive? Site > Manage Sites... see screenshot.
Assets are managed by Dreamweaver only if you're working within a defined local site folder.
Hope that helps.

Yes I did that from the beginning, but when I did the transfer a new site folder was created along with the core folder, not through anything I intentionally did, once I saw that the assets seemed to be looking to that extra folder, I kind of swallowed and deleted it because the original folder was also there. No more problem with assets,, it started working. Like I said that is about the best explanation I can give but you definitely identified the core issue. I was really stymied at first but the whole structure is making more sense and I figured it out.
