DW CS5 won't find testing server

I have created an application in DW CS5 and setup my testing server. I am using ASP VBscript.

However, DW is not showing my my recordsets.

In the recordset bindings tab there is no check next to #3. Setup the site's testing server.

So, I dutifully click on this, again, and see that my testing server is there with checks for testing server and remote server (though I have toggled this on and off to no effect).

Under the Database tab I see my DB and test the connection and it works fine.

And more odd still, some of my pages do show that all is right in the bindings tab; recordsets are present.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue in Nov 2010, so updates in between haven't fixed this issue. The data and binding panels see the data just fine, which they cannot do unless the testing server is correctly set up. Yet when one tries to insert a Data Object into the page, DW claims that a testing server must be defined. Very frustrating. I too am using VBScript, and I'm connected to an Access database. Everything else seems to work just fine. I can created recordsets, queries, view the data, drag and drop fields onto the form, etc. However, none of that is very useful if the data objects cannot be insrted into the page.

I was using Dreamweaver CS3 up until my very recent upgrade to CS5 and I was frustrated with the same problem you are now having, and it took me hours to find what I consider to be a work around, because the system wont allow me to just select a server behavior or dynamically bind info the way it always did in CS3.  Try this though, it should allow you to work.  You can just go to the insert menu and select (from under the form secondary dropdown) Create Recordset. By Creating the Recordset from here, the Server Behavior, and Bindings windows will work properly.  Hope this helps.
