DW Ver 10.0 error 147 on launch

DW ver 10.0 4117 working for a long time suddenly throws this error.

Could it be a corrupt DW setting file or something else? 

Where is that DW setting file located?

Tried Adobe help and was directed here.

Additional info: AMT subsystem failure error 147.1.

Have been unsuccessful in reinstalling DW from CD.

If it is an authentication issue, could it impact the DW reinstall?

Suffice it to say, you're using outdated software from 2008 that's discontinued & unsupported.  Use it at your own risk.
