Hello,

I just downloaded the ADDT extension and when I try to install it I get a message from Extension Manager saying something like I need Dreamweaver CS3. I have Dreamweaver CS3 but for some reason my Extension Manager doesn't see it. It sees my old Dreamweaver 8 but not CS3. I tried to uninstall the Extension Manager figuring this might be the problem, but when I go to re-install it, I get an error message stating, "Adobe Extension Manager CS3 is already installed. To remove or modify this software, please use its original installer." I can't figure out how to uninstall this program!

When you open Extension Manager, does CS3 appear somewhere in the dropdown list of the Extension Manager? Or, does it just say 'Dreamweaver 8... Flash 8, ....'?

Also try opening the EM, go to Help/About and look at the number in the
lower right of the panel. What version do you have installed?

I have a script i would like to install for Flash CS3. I have gone to the Help drop down and selected "manage Extension, which directs me to the http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/ page, implying that i do not have Adobe Extension Manager on my machine. When i download and try to run/install it, I don't get very far due to this message: "Adobe Extension Manager CS3 is already installed. To remove or modify this software, please use its original installer." I have scanned my computer up and down and cannot seem to fine where it may be (not in Applications, that's for sure). I'd like to uninstall it / reinstall / it/ trash it to just start all over.

Any recommendations?

I also tried to reinstall the EM for CS3 and got the same message regarding it being already installed. I cannot de-install it. My version does reference DW CS3 etc and is presumably the latest. I went down this route because I cannot install extensions. I get an error in a message box: "The parameter is correct" and then nothing else happens. Double clicking on an extension brings up a Visual C++ Runtime Library Error requesting program termination.

I'm having a similar proble, except that when I launch EM it shows in the task tray, but the window doesn't come up. I tried to reinstall it, but it won't let me - says it is already installed.

This "missing window" for Extension Manager sounds similar to an issue that I ran into quite a while ago:
Long url:
http://groups.google.com/group/macromedia.exchange.extensions.dreamweaver/browse_thread/thread/4bf12...

Tiny version:

As you're reporting this issue with CS3, you may need to substitute Adobe for Macromedia in the registry key name.

Beyond that no other ideas to suggest besides uninstalling Extension Manager and then reinstalling it.
