Hi everybody! I have a problem that tends to pop up from time to time - way extra space on the website that is not seen when looking at it in dreamweaver.
Most of the time - sometimes after a long long time of poring over the code - I can usually fix it.
This time it is a HUGE space and I've looked and looked in the code and cannot figure out where that space is coming from.
Since I don't know where the problem is I cannot really copy and paste the code right here ...
so if you could go to the website, see the problem (it's on the front page!), and then look in the code from there, it would be so very helpful.
It is so embarrassing to have this website out there looking like that ... 😞

I am not a professional website designer.
I do it more for fun because I enjoy doing it especially from a blank page and putting it all together without a template.
I know that is probably not the best way to do it but I enjoy that creative process.
The problem is I am not as well versed as professionals may be ... so thank you!!!
Sabrina

I was just shown a screen print of the site that they see on their computer and there is no space ... so ... now i'm wondering why I see a space on my computer but someone else does not. Do you see a space when you go to the site. It is above the "thank you" area ... this is so weird ...

Hi, I cannot see the extra space you are describing...
Maybe it is a cache problem only... try to clean your browser cache or using another browser

When page display problems arise, 99% of the time it's caused by code errors. Some code errors are more critical than others and may pose greater problems on some devices but not others. Check your work in multiple browsers. Learning to identify & fix errors is essential to running a web site.

That said, You have quite a few deprecated code warnings related to the use of tables for layouts. Skip those for now. The errors you should focus on are unbalanced opening & closing tags.
The site looks like this for me in Firefox.
DW can help you spot code errors before they become problems if you watch the Error Indicators and look at the Output Panel. See screenshot.
DW also has a built-in Validation tool to help you check your HTML code. You should use this regularly when editing.
