LuisDesigns,

You need to install few, different kinds of web browsers installed on your platform.

Why?

Testing, testing and testing. You don't have control over Internet users access to your site. Majority of Internet users are using IE (different versions all together).

Ideally, Firefox is standard-based web browser. I like it quite immensely. I also have installed a special testing tool called Web Developer developed by open source volunteers over there at Firefox community. I find that very useful tool for testing or troubleshooting around web page with HTML, CSS and things like that.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, DWD (Brian)

You can have 10 or more browsers* installed on your computer and run them
simultaneously without a problem.

I regularly use IE7, Firefox 2 and Opera 9 on the same computer.

I run IE6 on a separate PC. I also run Safari on a Mac Mini.

* The only browser you cannot do this with is Internet Explorer where you
can only have one version installed at a time (without some tricky,
unsupported workarounds).

The best approach (in my opinion) is to build for FF, and then fix for IE.
If it looks right in FF, you are on the right track....
