The bottom of this page there's a link that says Adobe Forums powered by Jive Software's Clearspace ® 2.5.16

Might be worth checking out. There's also phpBB and vbulletin. Googling the forum service provider and appending the term "tutorial" to your search term will undoubtebly direct you to relevant information.

What scripting language do you use on your site? You just need to search the web for "forum software" to find plenty.

Basically, you don't have to *make* a forum. There are tons of pre-packaged, ready-to-go scripts out there that you can simply install and go. The previous poster recommended a few good ones.  Visit their websites and if you have any questions, their own forums would probably be the best place to ask.
