Hi all, I've been using Dreamweaver since CC (over 10 years,) but it suddenly lost all my FTP usernames and passwords (and I have over 60 of them.) Plus, I have to log back in to my account daily. I 've had some of these sites for years and the password has always been saved until the latest release.
Could this be a setting that has changed? Is there anyway to have DW put the paswords back in without having to re-enter all of them?
Dreamweaver 21.1 build 15413
Unless you made back-ups by exporting .STE files out of DW that you could re-import, your best bet is going to be to re-enter the information.
As for DW not holding onto your log-in, make sure to log out, and back into, the CC Desktop App. If that doesn't help, it may be time to restore DW's Preferences file and see if that doesn't take care of it: https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver.html
Did you previously sync settings to the Creative Cloud? If so, you may be able to import them from your Preferences panel. For details, see this related discussion and my reply from Feb 6th.
HAd the same issue with DW CC 2021. Solution was to delete entries in keychain. See https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/ftp-credentials-remembered-dreamweaver-mac.html
Just type 'siteserver' in the Keychain Access search box to see all saved site credentials. After quitting Dreeamweaver I deleted all these keychain credentials, re-launched Dreamweaver and entered the FTP username and passwords again. This time after quitting and re-launching DW, the credentials were retained.
