FTP error occured contact admin

Hi

for no obvious reason all my sites are throwing ftp connection errors from and all of sudden. Ive checked connections to the same servers using other FTP applications successfully. Im using SFTP and Im also able to log in via SHH. It does appear the issue is DW related. Ive deleted ssh_log file from configuration folder, still gives errors. 

It doesnt even seem to check server response as the error dialogue box appears as soon as you hit the connect button,

Any assistance kindly welcomed.

• Which operating system?
• Which version of DW?

To rule out problems with the network or hosting server,  can you connect with free FileZilla S/FTP client?  If you cannot connect, then the problem is not with Dreamweaver but some other issue at the ISP or hosting level.

If you can connect with FileZilla, then at least you have an alternate way to upload files while you continue to troubleshoot DW.

Who is your web host?

Are you using SFTP with signature key files? 

You need to convert your PPK format key file to OpenSSH format using PuttyGen.
Dreamweaver accepts only private keys in OpenSSH format.
