FTP won't transfer image

New Here ,

Dreamweaver ftp quit transferring images.  I'm running Dreamweaver on a Windows 7 computer.  When I first encountered the problem, I contacted support, and was told to upgrade, which I have now done.  The problem persists.  I know there is room on the server, because I am replacing an image that was already there.

There is a special field in the Manage Sites panel for your root directory.   It's above your Web URL.  See screenshot.

If I think that Dreamweaver is at fault, I try to use another program. If the fault persists I know that the problem lies elsewhere.

In your case try Filezilla

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

I tried filezilla with the same results.  I kept playing around, and finally determined that the error was in the "root directory" field.  The consultant had told me to leave it blank, but that put the file in a strange place.  I changed the field to public_html/treetwirlers.org, and that resulted in the file going to the right place.  Thank you for your help.
