FTP

I am trying to connect to a remote server via manage site. If I use Login: with a user that has Admin rights, all works fine. However if I use a user who ONLY has rights to the Host directory, I cannot test the connection.

I only have problems in Dreamweaver. When I connect via another FTP client using this same user in the same host directory, all works fine. Plus if I change this user to Admin, he can connnect??? However, I cannot have all my users as Admin. The user has RWD and FTP priviliges in the Host directory set up via the server Admin function. These are recognized by the other FTP client but not by Dreamweaver.

Does Dreamweaver look at some other setting when verifying a user for a specific subweb?

Thanks, JB

What is in the Host directory folder of the Remote site definition?
