Help inserting Images and Text

I am new to dreamweaver and i need help. I downloaded my webpage from photoshop and saved it as index.html. I proceed to add images and point the cursor to where i want it and it will not go on the page. It will either go above or below the page. Can anyone help? I am thinking the cursor need to be smaller but I am not sure.

You just do not understand how HTML works. Consider this -
