How do I show live data in one table, from an adjacent form?

I am trying to figure out a way for site visitors to enter data in a series of form fields in a table on the left, while showing that data live overlaid on an image in a table on the right. I have tried spry, but inserting a form field into the original spry master table seems to eliminate any possibility of pulling it into the table cells in the adjacent table. Any ideas?
