How do I stop auto-bracing/brackets in DW 2017?

So, long story short, auto-bracing is driving me nuts since the upgrade in both CSS and JS files. Is there a way to prevent it from auto-completing these?

Not that I've found.

Personally I like it in CSS files, but despise it with the passion of a 1000 burning suns in .js files.

I'm tacking it onto the reasons I'm sticking with 2015 for a bit yet. I think a bunch of these little quirks will be hammered out in the next dot release, but for work-related, er, work... I'm sticking with the older version.
