how do i upload a PDF?!!

I'm a motion graphics student in my final year preparing a showreel site. But I'm struggling with what is surely such a simple problem... I can't upload my CV!

An example of what I wish to achieve is this... http://www.carolinedesign.org.uk/CV.pdf

Can anybody help me please??

Same way you would upload any other file to your web server: FTP/SFTP. If
you're uploading HTML files to your web site currently, it uses the same
method.
