There are a number of ways. My preference would be to create
a Flash .swf
and embed the music into that using MP3 format. MP3 is small
and the sound
is great. You could make the swf transparent looking by
matching the
background color of your page and since the Flash player is
cross browser,
you don't have issues with whether someone has a Quicktime
player or Windows
Media player, etc.
