How do you get music to play when website is accessed

Dear Dreamweaver Users,

First let me say ...Forgive me because I'm a noob. I'm currently doing a rather simple website for my wife's 20th High School Reunion. It serves its purpose very well by sharing information on a number of issues related to planning for the reunion (Signing up, Filling out surveys, and submitting Credit Card info via the use of PayPal). At a recent Planning Meeting a theme for the reunion was decided that pertains to a particular song. I've updated the site to reflect the title of the song; but I'd like to take it a step further and have the song play when you visit the Main Page of the website (my index.htm page). Does anyone have step-by-step instructions on how to accomplish this; or do you know of some instructions already out there for me to go by. Justso you'll know, I'm using Dreamweaver MX 2004.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I just located some info on the general discussion portion of this forum, and it's still not detailed enough for someone like me who is really new to this. The stuff I read though has me rethinking the whole music. The majority of replies started with comments relating to music being an annoyingly bad idea for any website; and I'm thinking they might be right. Would it really be a bad idea if it only played on the main page which basically has the Title of the site and the Theme of the reunion? I say this because there's only one button at the bottom of the page that'll be clicked by visitors pretty quick once they decide to enter the site. I wouldn't want the music to play while they navigated all of the pages. What do you guys think?

There are a number of ways. My preference would be to create a Flash .swf
and embed the music into that using MP3 format. MP3 is small and the sound
is great. You could make the swf transparent looking by matching the
background color of your page and since the Flash player is cross browser,
you don't have issues with whether someone has a Quicktime player or Windows
Media player, etc.
