Hello all,

I'm starting to do html emails and would like to use Dreamweaver. I don't have much coding experience so forgive me for my shortcomings. I want to know if there is a way to get analytics from these html emails using dreamweaver html email templates? Thanks for the help!

Stop before you get started.  Dreamweaver can be used, but as tricky as email is I would just recommend using an email service provider or marketing automation provider to handle your email designs and distribution.  They will also provide you with the analytics, but with all the privacy updates your best bet will end up being tracking UTM or other parameters on your web traffic from the emails.

Short answer: No.

The templates in Dreamweaver have no functionality whatsoever.

For what you want, you need to use MailChimp or similar email sending service that has metrics you can follow.

In addition to what @Ben M and @Nancy OShea tell you, it is important to note that DW and mailings are two different and distinct tools and services.

Of course, DW can help you compose your emails, but as recommended to you, it is better to use a platform to manage their shipments and their follow-up. For this, there are many solutions.

Depending on the e-mail volume, your needs, and especially your expectations...you can use a WP base, plugged with the Newsletter plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter/).

The WP platform can also be used independently, even if your site does not use it.

We had to use this solution on various projects, and each time all users, integrators, authors, decision makers, target audiences, were all satisfied with the result.

Anyway, the implementation is very simple, nothing costs you to test this possibility and to see if it corresponds to what you're expecting.
