Hi THere

I am building a wordpress site - using DW as my text editor.

I have WP successfully installed and running on a local testing server and I have 'show hidden files activated' in DW but I cannot get my .htaccess file to show.

I am running Snow Leopard on MAC can anyone provide me any solutions before I go quietly mad.

If you have the option to show hidden files it should show.  Try rebuilding the site cache.  If that doesn't work, then I am thinking you never moved the htaccess file to the local testing server to begin with because it is a hidden file.  If you don't see the file there, go back to the Wordpress files you originally downloaded and get the htaccess file out of there.

Hi Thanks for that.

In the end I just recreated the .htaccess from scratch seemed to be the easiest way 🙂
