HTML Emails

New Here ,

Every time I create an HTML page to be used for an email it seems to break up my images, text and tables. When some views my HTML email in MS Office Outlook 2003 it displays properly except when they forward it.

In MS Office Outlook 2007 it doesn't display properly at all. I need help and fast.

Thank you.

Are your images hosted on a server using absolute links?

Yes, I have all of the images properly sourced and tables from what I can tell created right. Is there a way to lock down the code?

Is there anyone out there that can help me with this? I'm having trouble with our e-newsletter displaying correctly in Microsoft Outlook 2007. Are there any known issues. We use a Campaign Management System that we copy our HTML code into for our newsletter than we schedule the campaign to launch.

When anyone with Outlook 2007 gets it the newsletter doesn't arrive in the intended fashion it's suppose to.

Please I need some help.

> Are there any known issues.

Yes - plenty of them. Check the Microsoft site for a widget that will check
your email and let you know what won't work in Outlook2007.

Haven't been there recently - are their templates optimized for Outlook2007?

as per ben at mailchimp:

Chat InformationPlease wait for a site operator to respond.
Chat InformationYou are now chatting with 'Ben'
Chat InformationYour Issue ID for this chat is LTK69011249856X
Ben: Hi Joe
Ben: Which templates?
Ben: The downloadable ones, or the ones built-in?
Ben: We have template files that web designers can download and tweak, then use wherever they want.
Ben: Those probably still have CSS in them, which you'd want to swap out with old-fashioned <font> tags
Ben: If you use our built-in template designer tool in MailChimp, those use more <font> tags than CSS, and will work fine in Outlook 2007.
Ben: I have it on my to-do list to go back and test those downloadable template files in Outlook 2007.
Ben: To be honest with you, Outlook 2007 isn't really worrisome
Ben: it's the fact that everyone is using browser-based email apps now.
Ben: Gmail, Yahoo! Mail Beta, .Mac---they all usa JavaScript and AJAX and all kinds of stuff that break HTML email (worse than Outlook 2007 probably will). So we've had to systematically go back and re-program all our built-in templates.

Thank you guys this is helpful information I will try these templates that you're mentioning. We're using a solution from Zoomio to drive all of our marketing campaigns in conjunction with Microsoft CRM. Here's the link if you want to see what I'm using.
