I have a Sony DCR-SX40 digital camcoder that produces mpeg image files. I would like to make some of these clips accessible from my web site.
Is there a way Dreamweaver allows us to introduce clips into websites? Can someone direct me to some reading or tutorial on introducing mpeg
clips to a website using Dreamweaver? Thanks.

Open Dreamweaver, press F1, enter mpeg into search field, read results. Moral of story: search help before asking for help on how to search help.

As a matter of fact I have searched for some related info not only in Dreamwaer Help, but on the the entire net, but I could not find a solution to my problem. Basically, the image files produced by my camera are not being recognized by Dreamweaver as mpeg. When I check the properties of the image file, it says Movie Clip (not mpeg), but when I do a microsoft icons-list of the image file, it has MPEG written on the icon. I find this very confusing. So, I thought maybe there is some procedure that I need to go through to transform the image file so that it can be recognized by Dreamwevaer. That is why I was asking for some help...Moral of the story: don't judge people unless you really know what they've been up to...

I only know what has been written, not a mind reader. Your first post specifically mentioned in bold mpeg that's all I gathered because that's all you said. What you explain is what is read and a solution is provided based on those factors. Even afterwards your post is not enough information to provide a solution other than what has already been given. Moral of the story: one is left to judge when details are omitted of what you've been up to. I am left to judge that your "mpeg" file is not actually an mpeg file from your vague comments. Transcode your movie file to an acceptable format that is recognized by Dreamweaver if you'd like the file to be recognized by Dreamweaver.

That is precisely what I am not able to do. The files are "supposed to be" mpeg which therefore should be recognizable by Dreamweaver. The image icons have MPEG written on them. But the file type I see when I do a microsoft View with details shows Movie Clip. And I have not so far been able to convert these image files. What exact format "Movie Clip" correspond to? Since Dreamweaver is not able to recognize these image files, I am assuming they are not pure mpeg after all. Maybe the moral of the story is that this is not the right forum for my problem. I will try to post this problem in some video/image related forum. Maybe someone else has had this problem before. Thanks for the responses.

According to my camcoder's documentation the image files are mpeg-2. But when I move them into my Dreamweaver images folder and click Window/Assets, I am not able to see them (like I am able to see the still photo files). Why is that?
