Is Dreamweaver CS6 similar to DW 2017?

Not the same. CS6 came out several years ago and is no longer supported by Adobe. The current version offered by Adobe is CC 2017 which AFAIK is only through the subscription system.

I brought the wrong book I brought adobe Dreamweaver Cs6, and should have purchase adobe CC 2017.

I personally don't use Dreamweaver but the feature and option more than likely are the same or very similar. About the only thing missing will be the added features and some minor changes in how certain things work.

Where to find a book on the CC version? Look at Amazon, Barns & Noble and the like.

If you're a paid Creative Cloud member (not on a 7 day trial), you can download legacy CS6 from your CC Desktop App by going to Apps > FIND ADDITIONAL APPS > VIEW PREVIOUS VERSIONS.  See screenshot below.

NOTE:  Older versions are not available to Trial members.

Dreamweaver CC 2017 has been updated several times since it rolled out.  As a result, there are no books on the current version yet.  It's too new.
