It is an HTML document, damn it!

Community Beginner ,

I just updated my Dreamweaver (Mac) this morning to the latest version of Creative Cloud. I assigned my primary and secondary browsers (Safari and Firefox, respectively) and after previewing my HTML doc a couple of times, I start getting this error: "You cannot preview the document open in Dreamweaver. You can only preview HTML or PHP documents."

The only workaround I have found, thus far, is to quit and restart the application. Major headache in making progress.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks,

Mark

That sort of implies there's a code problem.

Have you validated it to see what's causing DW to think it's NOT an HTML file?

Go to Window > Results > Validation.

Click big triangle > check current document.

It hasn't happened to me since I made the post, but should it happen again, I will check the validation. Thanks for the recommendation.
