joomlasolutions1.0.mxp for CS4

New Here ,

Can someone please help me out here with the latest joomlasolutions extension for Dreamweaver CS4. I need to make my own JOOMLA! template and saw a series of tutorials on YouTube about converting a CSS template to JOOMLA!. The instructor made use of Stylemaster application and joomlasolutions 1.0 free extension for Dreamweaver that I downloaded from joomlasolutions.com. When I tried to install the extension, I got a message that either the Extension Manager or the plugin is not up to date. Surely it cannot be the Extensions Manager, since CS4 is the latest release. I have performed endless searches on Google and can only find expensive commercial extensions for Joomla. If someone can help me with this extension problem I will realy appreciate it. Regards

I don't think it's the problem either, but FWIW there was an update to Extension Manager, the latest is EM 2.1:
http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/

What is the exact message that you get when you try to install?

I went to the site you listed and couldn't find the extension you're talking about. But I searched Google and eventually ended up here:
http://www.joomlathemes.org/

Is that where you got the extension you're talking about? If so, I just downloaded it and it installed just fine on my system (Windows Vista 64bit Home Premium if it matters). I also tried the Mambo version and it too installed fine. I didn't attempt to use the extensions, so no idea if they work once installed.

this issue is still unresolved. I've found the same story about .mxp file not showing up in dw  on several forums.

system: Vista Home premium 32 bits-
dw cs4 -
adobe extension manager has been updated to v.2.1.112. with the patch from adobe.

the extensions are in the following folder.

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager2\Configuration\Extensions

not ONE of the 5 extensions I've installed show up in the dw insert toolbar

the extensions show up in the extension manager as installed.

but not showing in the insert menu or in the insert toolbaar

stuck.

PL_VMenu_v4110.mxp
NeoJoomla!Bar 1.0.2.mxp
D-Form_Joomla15.mxp
joomlasolutions1.0.mxp

pluginlabverticalF v 4 .1.1.0

so what could be wrong here?

is there anyone who can help out?

ADOBE PAY ATTENTION PLEASE...WHY NOT INFORM YOUR USERS ABOUT THIS So this problem won't show up in
all the Adobe product forums.....?

way too much time spent to find the answer.

many people (Adobe FW forum and other forums on internet too...) talk about this problem.

The solution was given last fall in the FW forum by CadWizardX (THANKS AGAIN)

"Never mind, I almost figured it out before I even hit reply.

I forgot Vista Basics 101.

Navigate to the program file for the extension manager and select properties.
On the compatibility tab select the option to run as administrator,
click on the all users options and select run as administrator for all users if desired and then apply.
Of course the option is only available if you have the UAC turned on.

Now, re-install the extensions and you should have no problems.
You'll just have to deal with the UAC everytime you use the extension manager."

And indeedie it works.
