Keeping up a site

hey me and 3 others are working on a site with dreamweaver but if 1 of us logs out during the time the rest is busy and comes back while we edited files , that person starts Dreamweaver and it yust resets all site info back to when that person was last online can some 1 plz show where this setting is to chance it , ThX

If multiple developers, or even a single developer with multiple computers, is working on a site then you must remember to download the latest version of the file before making any changes. You really need to use the check in/out features or use some kind of source control to avoid problems.

Also, in the future when posting to these forums please use proper grammer (punctuation, capitalization, etc). I know it seems trivial, but it makes questions much easier to understand. Also, posts like this really belong in the main DW forum, not App Dev. Thanks.

Use Check in / Check out feature in Dreamweaver ( found in Site set up > Servers > Advanced  tab)  Make sure that all developers that are working on the site do the same. This will keep you from overwriting each others work and will prevent you from opening a file that someone else has checked out.

Dreamweaver's Check in / Check out isn't perfect, if someone on your team chooses to ignore it they can run over your files, but as long as the group plays well together this can really help maintain order.
