Live Preview Not Loading Page

New Here ,
Nov 18, 2016 Nov 18, 2016

Hi All,

I have trawled the internet and have found nothing helpful. I am running Dreamweaver 2017 (9314 Build) and am currently beginning a new bootstrap website. I have literally only created the index page and a 3 line style sheet which defines some simple fonts and a padding.

When using the live preview (F12) in any browser it just sits there loading constantly until I tell it to stop. Once stopped it displays the page sans stylesheet (it does include the Bootstrap one however). I have restarted this project a few times now and have no clue what is causing it. The only way around it seems to be to delete the link to the CSS, which might I say is far less that ideal....

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

HI,

We have a bug for an issue where Live Preview does not show the newly created Bootstrap page content until user reopens the file.

Is this the same issue you are talking about?

Thanks,

Preran

Hi Preran,

It could very well be, but reopening the file has failed to make a difference in my case as I have literal restarted my entire PC and it make no difference and I am constantly waiting for the preview to load.

Regards,

Tim

I suggest that you get in touch with Adobe Customer Care Contact us | Adobe  for investigation. They can log a bug for you if your issue is different than what we currently have logged as a bug.

In the meantime, Right-Click the document tab (or a file in your Files Panel).

     Select Open in Browser >

          Choose your browser.

This will Preview in Browser the old way.

If you custom style sheet still doesn't show, check the path.  Ensure it's pointing to your defined site folder and not a file:///
