Live View not redirecting in ver. 19.0

When a user accesses a new web page I check if the user has logged in and if not they are redirected to a login page. On successful login they are directed back to the original page.

This worked perfectly in version18 and works in the wild. In version 19 Live View shows the login page correctly but after login the original page is not displayed rather the login page is re-displayed

For now I have reverted to version 18 but would like to have access to the new features of version 19.

Live View (within DW, normally Split with Code View) doesn't redirect unless you tell it to under View > Live View Options > Follow Links Continuously.

This setting works only intermittently and it does not stick. I have to reset it every time the page is refreshed or a new page is opened.

Again, ver 18 works perfectly and the setting sticks.

PS I prefer the ctrl-click option so the link isn't followed unless I want it to.
