My local files won't refresh and the refresh button is missing in DW CC 2017.  In the files panel.  Also the size, time/date, and type of file is missing.  Any way to recover all these?

The refresh button is still there in CC2017, it has just been moved to the bottom of the Files window (keyboard shortcut is still F5).

To get the columns back in your Files window, right click where they normally appear and you'll get a "check-able" dropdown menu...

Once you have your workspace set the way you like (opening/docking windows where you want them), make sure to give the workspace a name and save it. That way if anything ever goes wonky with it, you can Reset Workspace and get it all back.

To do that...

1. Set up your windows/panels the way you like
2. Go to Window > Workspace Layout > New Workspace
3. Give the workspace a name
4. Hit OK

From there on out, resetting is simple if you accidentally turn anything off...

Go to Window > Workspace Layout > Reset 'your workspace name"
