This is specifically for David Powers.

David, after almost 3 months away form coding, I am finally immersing myself in php Solutions, specifically Chapters 11 and 12. I am having a problem testing some of the lessons on my local server and I'm hoping that out of this general set of specifics, you might have a suggestion for me.

I have a laptop on which I have installed PHP, MySQL and Apache, on drive C. I do all my regular we coding on an external hard drive, F, the reasons for which are not relevant to this situation. I can run and test certain things in my local environment, but when I try running scripts such as those found in Chapter 11, pages 308-311, my browser says 'page not found'. I did a little experimenting and I beleive that the includes files are not getting found. Possibly also with the database files, but regardless, something is appearing lost to the page code.

Given my general layout, does anything come to mind with regards to where I might look, what code I might adjust, etc. to get these scripts to work? I had no choice but to step away from my php lessons 3 months ago due to other business matters...however, I have forgotten things and they are now causing me problems.

Any and all help will be severely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Wordman
