Missing Adobe ID associated with my Dreamweaver Subscription

My husband bought me Dreamweaver CS4 back in 2008 for Christmas. I used it as recently as 8/2019 to install Dw CS4 on my new laptop. Now I want to retire my old desktop and install it on the new one. But his Adobe ID doesn't seem to exist. We still have the email used for the Adobe ID that purchased Dw CS4. How can I install it on my new desktop so I can retire the old one. I think creating a new Adobe ID with the same email might not be a good idea.

CS4 Activation Servers don't exist anymore.  And the software is too old to run on modern systems.

I managed to reset the password for my husband's adobe ID and got support for installing Dreamweaver on my new PC. Since I am only using it to support one non-profit (or maybe because Adobe just has excellent customer support) they emailed him a link & serial number to install Dreamweaver CS6 which is almost the same. The install went smoothly and I was able to use CS4's site manager to export the site and then import into CS6 on the new PC. I am thrilled! And the people at Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity will be too as soon as I can get their website updated [link removed by moderator as per forum guidelines]. The website does not have any new fancy HTML so it works fine with Dreamweaver CS6. The PCs are all running Windows 10 though the old desktop was originally Windows 7 and was upgraded. Thanks Adobe!

@BLShaeffer,

Did you or your husband purchase Creative Suite 6 BEFORE January 2017?   I ask because there are many impostors pretending to be Adobe reps who are in fact scammers.

1. Real Adobe reps would never contact you via email from Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo or Skype.

2. Real Adobe reps would never provide you with CS6 software if you didn't already own a valid license for it.

Please tell us you did NOT give anyone money in exchange for this software.  If money changed hands, contact your bank or credit card company immediately.  And run a thorough virus and spyware scan of your computer system.  Fake software is notoriously infected with malware and/or ransomware.
