Modify Template Region with Separate Upload?

I'm no expert, so please bear with me as I explain what I've done, and what I'd like to change.

I created a template that has all my links, news, and other content that I want to appear on each of my web pages. It's a three-column layout. The middle column is where my editable region is, so I can add my page specific info.

One of the areas on the template is for "Latest News". To change this, I have to change my template. This works, in that it is automatically updated on all of my pages. I want that. Unfortunately, my web-host does not provide bulk uploads, so I then need to upload every single page on my site. That's getting a bit tedious.

Is there a way that I can have the "Latest News" portion of my template point to another HTML file, so that I would only need to update the content of the "Latest News" box, rather than update all my pages and upload all of them?

Thanks,
Steve

Investigate "Server-side includes" - start with the F1 Help in DW.

HOWEVER, you will have to change the file extension for all pages that use
them (from *.htm(l) to *.shtm(l)).
