Permissions for extensions folders

New Here ,
Dec 23, 2008 Dec 23, 2008
Can someone help me figure out what this means:

"Check you have set write permission (mask 777) on "DWB_RSSGenerator" folder, the extension need it to create the RSS files there."

Where do I find and correct permissions for a specific folder?

Thanks.

When you are viewing files in your remote view, right click on the folder choose "Set Permissions" and make your selections. I think that you can check all of the boxes, or click all of the buttons to get 777 it that's what is needed.

Danilo,

Thanks for the response. I found what you suggested, clicked all the boxes which gives me the 777, then clicked ok. The problem is the update does not hold. When I go back to the folder, it's reset to 775. Any thoughts?

There is a note at the bottom of the dialog box that says, "This command maybe not work with some servers."

I think that you'll have to talk with your host about how to set permission for your folder as they may have set some restrictions.
