Hi all,
Using Dreamweaver CC 2017.0.1 on Windows 10
When I switch between files, say an html file and CSS file, the position of the file moves to a different location when I switch back. For example if I was looking at line 677 in the CSS file and switch away to HTML and come back, the CSS file might have jumped to line 123 or other seemingly random location. At the very least, it moves up so the cursor is just off the the top of the screen.
Is this a known bug or a setting that I need to disable?
Thanks

I also have DW CC2017.0.1 on a Windows 10 machine and cannot replicate the problem. Sometimes DW will misbehave when there are errors in the code. Go to The W3C Markup Validation Service to check your documents.

Interesting. There were no errors in the code but I changed the doctype and indeed the problem seemed to stop. I will investigate further
EDIT: Actually scratch that, it still has the probelm

Hi,
Can you please share a video clip demonstrating the issue, that will help us in reproducing it at our end?

When you say switch from css to html, do you mean html shown in live/design view or code view?
If it is live/design view, then this is a known bug.

In code view. So switching from one file to another, both in code view. I just used HTML and CSS as an example it could be any file type.

The cursor, (code) does move to the top of the screen when switching between files, but it should retain the actual position in the file.
You could share a video of what you are seeing, as Niharika Gupta suggested, or paste the code from the html and css here in the forum for us to look at, (not saying that we can find the problem). That way we can check if it is a problem we can reproduce or not, before asking you to file a bug for this.
You will have to do this in the forum itself, as code does not get included in the post if done via email.
